Page 288 is being hacked a lot, and is being written, gradually, on the history of the Hippie Culture, its philosophy, and understanding it as a means of understanding the Occupy Wall St. movement. It is written by John Schlitz (real name John Kitchin), one of the early hippie philosophers. It will contain criticism of the movement, and suggestions for improvement. The alternate feed listed is set up to take a million hits at the same time, unlike this website. Harder to type in than NZ9F.com/288, it is only for my most important articles. Philosophy
The Hippie Movement spawned the philosophy behind the Women's, Black, Gay Rights, Hispanic, Anti-War, and many other movements. An early pundit, my writings go back to 1970, and some of them are being quoted here. I suggested, for example, that it was sexist for law schools to only permit one female per 300 law students. That was such a radical idea, that I was sent to a mental hospital for psychiatric evaluation. After all, courtrooms were for men to practice law, while their wives were busy having babies, right? It is the Hippie Movement of the 1960s that changed all this.
The Movement says that humans are important, and too important to be wasted because of being the wrong sex or the wrong color for somebody's idea of what they ought to look like in a particular job. It says that there is a lot more that is the same about us humans than there is different. We are one people. It says that a measure of society is its belief in people, as opposed to God, and their empowerment to become better people, more self-reliant, happier, better-educated, satisfied, and free (Spanish libre not gratis) in general. (International language reference must occasionally be given because I am read in 32 languages.)
Religions are all the same, merely being different angles of viewpoint or perspective upon a single reality. The view from Second Base in an American Baseball game is different from the view from Third Base, yet it is the same game. All people must be heard if they wish to be, as all else begs them to call attention to their cause via violence. This is the basic problem of why London was burned, as the BBC chose to entirely ignore the Occupy Footsie Movement (FTSE is the London Stock Exchange, and the letters stand for Financial Times Stock Exchange).
Causing people to need to be violent in order to be heard, and then labeling those people "Punks" and a violent cause is not to be tolerated. It reeks of racism, sexism, age-ism, and is a hallmark of the Nazis and BBC.
Getting back to the Hippies, as the movement progressed, government infiltrators were used to curtail it. Most came from the Mormons (Latter-Day Saints), Rabbinical Councils of Judaism, the Masons, Knights Templar, ILuminati, and even the military, FBI, CIA, NSA, and other agencies of the alphabetical soup of government. Infiltrators encouraged people in the Hippie Movement to use dope and get high instead of thinking. Pay attention to football scores and music instead of action. One tool of the government infiltrators was called Consensus.
Consensus assembles a group, allows them to take turns speaking, and talking goes on forever without any action taken. Talk, talk, talk, more talk, and repeat forever. It was music to CIA's ears that a group could be kept spinning around in circles forever, not taking any action nor accomplishing anything at all.
Eventually, the spinning no-action consensus hippies split into two groups, the Rainbow Family and the Activists. Rainbows primarily got high and kept talking forever. They also fed LSD and similar substances to their volunteers in food and water, myself included, twice. The only time in my life when I was subjected to those things. They have a website, and the local contingent assembles Sundays in Balboa Park. They are a valid group for those with severe handicaps dropping out of society forever. Don't worry, be happy, take a pill.
The rest of the hippies, still spinning around arriving at consensus, spent 40 years doing mostly nothing at all. Often, people got so fed up that they quit, and went on to do their own thing, such as the Rainbow Coalition of Rev. Jesse Jackson, not affiliated with the other Rainbow, above. A few formed GreenPeace, National Organization For Women, and an alphabet soup of our own, each with a very valid purpose and cause. Unfortunately, nowadays and the past 20 years, people who support causes are targeted by the Knights Templar of the Masons to lose their housing or employment, or both.
Many, too, are intentionally sent to prison for crimes that they did not commit, and I have been one of those. Eviction of a politically-involved person usually involves making a deal with their landlord, and cash can be involved. It is not illegal, either. The landlord can evict for no reason whatsoever, as the owner of the building. The sad fact is that once on the "Eviction List", the person will never get housing the rest of their life. Similar things are done to bribe employers to fire people. All of this results in Homeless Intellectuals, hence we have a website of our own, NZ9F.com. ----- No nation in history has ever survived as a nation, once its intellectuals have been made homeless!
LAW is important, and one of the most important things there are. My website has two pages on law, and the second one gives a very correct concept of what "Justice" really is. You can read about Justice at NZ9F.com/Law/L2, below the double red lines. And, as important as law is, it is not more important than people. Even so, we seem to worship the law as if it is always right. When the law is wrong, you need to disobey it to be doing right. But when is the law wrong? We cannot have everyone disobeying the law and then claiming that the particular law is wrong, can we?
The original Declaration of Independence was a notice that some of the laws of Great Britain were wrong, and thus implied that the rulers were unfit to govern. We humans are stupid apes who incorrectly think that we are intelligent. So, we make bad judgements, and codify some of them into bad laws.
Some rule of thumb must be prepared which specifies what laws in general are to accomplish, in very specific and not vague terms, plus what rules no law may violate. Then, any law which does not pass muster can be thrown out. Once this was the job of the Constitution, but all laws that are hundreds of years old fail to keep up properly with the future. Same problem as the bible, an excellent guide to living thousands of years ago, but not now.
One example of an invalid law is anything which physically cannot be accomplished, demanding the impossible. This is always, when questioned, accompanied by the answer, "there are plenty of ways this could have been avoided", even when there are not. The answer is always vague, and never precise and specific.
For example, when a person is ticketed for being homeless, living on the sidewalk, authorities claim that they had alternatives to doing that. So, they say, their law is valid, but is it? There is the claim that the person should have been somewhere else, and not where they were, without specifying an address. At some other address, they still would have been ticketed, the "anywhere except here" being a "nowhere" in reality. As a law which cannot be physically obeyed, it has no validity.
Philosophy says that it becomes your duty to intentionally disobey invalid laws. And, you must punish those who enforce them or attempt to enforce them. This is true whether you were the one cited or not. So, if you get ticketed for violating an illegal law, I must object to that, attempt to stop it, and punish the enforcer or enforcers. Otherwise, I become as guilty as they are of perpetration of injustice.
So, says the philosophy, you, as an ordinary citizen, are guilty of failing to stop illegal and improper laws, and failing to punish those who perpetrate them. We should leave all that up to society? Yes we should, but society has failed. Much easier to sit on your ass and not care, but that means you, yourself, need to be punished. That will happen, but is not my call.
As I continue with other philosophies which are basic to the Hippie Movement, so that you can understand Occupy Wall St., I will need to expose how society rules us all via secret societies, brainwashing, hypnosis, propaganda, extortion, the sin of politics, and of course, greed. For the younger ones, this will be a shock.
Your assignment, beginner, is to read my Mental Health Page, NZ9F.com/MH, and Law Page Two, NZ9F.com/Law/L2. Intermediate, also read Suicide Page, NZ9F.com/Suicide, and IQ Page, NZ9F.com/iq. Advanced, skip all that and read Summary Page, NZ9F.com/Summary. Note that Summary Page is Doctoral (Ph.D.) level, and may require a weekend or so to read. That is why it is designed to be printed out as opposed to read on a computer.
Greed Addiction.
Notes on Addiction to Greed: This is new philosophy, just written this week. It comes in response to so many people demanding a solution to the crisis of so many people who are wealthy acting so greedy. Not entirely their fault, as greed is an addiction. One Las Vegas lives for and makes its money on.
Greed is a lot like food disorders or addiction to love. You need food to survive, but it is possible to get addicted. If food is your drug, you cannot ever give it up entirely and yet survive. Likewise, addiction to love, which usually happens to ministers only, is a "high" which involves yet another thing we need to survive. You cannot go entirely without love, or you commit suicide. So, like food, you cannot quit it completely. Too much food and you die of Elvis Presley Disease, terminal obesity. Too much love and you get so high that you fall down the altar steps. Both are an addiction.
Greed is cut of the same cloth, being something we all need in the accumulation of enough money and wealth to survive, yet it is possible to become addicted to it. Having no money causes death, while having plenty causes financial security and a reasonable life. Having too much money, by being too greedy, causes many other people to be very poor, have very bad lives, and leads to complications like robbery, theft, and kidnapping.
Too much heroin, too much cocaine, too much food, too much love, and too much money are all addictions. They feel so good to us when we are high on them, but in the end are bad for society and bad for the addicted themselves. You can overcome your addiction to greed and making money.
Demands Made:There are no "Demands" and never have been. There is an emergency request for serious discussion regarding the current state of the United States and its control by wealthy, greedy atheists who think they are God. It is a discussion of fairness, trust, ethics, policy and the purpose of government itself.
Henry Ford set the stage, realizing that none of his early-1900s auto workers could afford to buy the product that they were building. So, they didn't care. The "American Dream" was that if you worked your butt off for Henry, he would pay you triple the going rate.He demanded you be worth it, too.
Ford once got a letter from famous gangster Al Capone, thanking him for his cars that were such quality that he could easily elude police. Get the cops onto a dirt road and their Chevrolets get stuck.
We can pay our workers in this nation more than any other nation pays, provided they are extremely good, fast, efficient, and care about their product. That is precisely what made this country great. It became lost over the years. Workers became a mere commodity used in production. No loyalty either way.
Technology further skewed the issue, because for every job it creates, five jobs are also lost. So, eventually three-quarters of everyone will have no job. Machines now do the work of over 100 million more workers than the total workforce contains, and that is an extreme understatement.
The Post Office, for example, in 1970, employed millions ofpeople to hand-sort mail, taking letters and dropping them into bins to be delivered. A stamp cost four cents, and they made a profit. Now those sorting jobs are lost, mail is machine sorted, and mailing a letter costs a lot more, too.
Taxes:There are a number of tax changes that could bring about more fairness, and some of them would even be saluted by the Tea Party, such as the banning of all Sales Taxes. The fairest of all solutions to taxation is a tax on Net Worth, where every person and corporation adds up the value of all assets, once a year, and pays a very tiny fraction of that total in taxes. Very fair.
An Income Tax fails to account for the fact that the wealthy do not need any income whatsoever. An Income Tax is a tax on greed, and so it is beneficial, but it can be avoided by the wealthy having tax write-offs, plus they do not need any income at all to survive. I write more on taxation, later in this series.
Action Needed:There are a few things needed right away to straighten out our government. The Living Wage must be restored. That means that when people work, they need to earn enough money to live on. Labor Unions must be empowered to do this, with an easy way to establish a labor union (or a new one) in just a few hours once signatures have been collected. Persons unable to find a job must be provided with a job or income.
Huge government spending projects must shore up our infrastructure (rivers, bridges, railroads), establish better energy solutions (wind, solar, similar), and ecology (forest re-planting, cleaning rivers, better sewers). Universal healthcare must pay for the doctor, hospital, and medicine bills of all, just like in all other developed nations, including Mexico.
Laws must guarantee equality of race, gender, sexual preference, social status, housed or homeless, credit rating preference, and so on. Credit bureaus must be outlawed. All past debts must be forgiven, so you no longer owe all that money on your home, causing you to need to pay most of your income the rest of your life.
College tuition should be free, based upon ability and intelligence, aptitude. Elections must be brought up to International Standards, using paper ballots only, that are scored by humans and not machines. No more rigged voting machines!
All of these are very reasonable and necessary, in order to save our wonderful USA.
Government Corruption:
A number of things need to be changed, to get back to a "Real" United States, and many of those were messed up in the Bush Era. We need to get back to the old Bankruptcy Act of 1970 repealing the unfair new bankruptcy laws, for example, that favor the rich and treat the poor unfairly. We also need to restore the accuracy of the Consumer Price Index and give the working poor, disabled, and retired a retroactive Cost of Living Adjustment taking into account REAL inflation the past 25 years. We need to go back to FCC policy of limiting the number of newspaper, radio, and television stations that one person or corporation may own in a particular area. The web does not guarantee freedom because it is not anonymous.
Fifty paragraphs censored out here by hackers. Being re-written and will be saved on a thumb-drive for re-insertion, when it is hacked out a 4th time.
The people who caused the banking melt-down of 2008 need to be held accountable and prosecuted, and none have been. We need more protection from scoundrels running banks, yet we are not even enforcing the few banking laws we have! The full investigative power of Congress and the FBI should be used. The Prudent Banking Act, which does not allow speculators to run banks, must be put back into place. It was eliminated under Bush. Failure to have proper regulation of banks resulted in Enron, Bernie Madoff, and a lot of people losing their homes. Imagine giving most of your paycheck your entire life to a cause, your home, and ending up with nothing. The Glass-Steagall Act once did not allow corruption of this kind by Wall St. investors and banks, in collusion.
Corporations must be prohibited from any type of contributions politically, directly or indirectly. Their needs can be serviced by their lobbyists. Lobbyists must be prohibited from taking government jobs, especially those regulating the very industries that they lobbied for. Similarly, politicians should be prohibited from working for companies that they previously regulated. The "Good Olde Boys Club" of mafia corruption in government must end! The people are being raped, and so is the government.
I propose a 10% tax on all cash money leaving the United States, which would make offshore tax scams impossible. It prevents a bllionaire from having all of his profits sent to Bermuda every 8 minutes, and then the money returning as tax-free. It also means that overseas corporations must pay some taxes, because if they take the money in cash, they pay the tax. They can keep the money in US banks, or take it in US goods and services, or even take it in gold, since that is not cash.
The Securities and Exchange Commission needs to be entirely re-worked.
Corporations should not be afforded the same rights as "Persons Living Forever", so that they get all the rights and regular people get none. Although severely hacked, and even the Web URL being deleted, three times, the video WAS atwww.YouTube.com/Watch?v=8SuzmqBewg- Another such video also exists at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkETJFg563A, so this version, usually still viewable, has not yet been hacked out.
Taxation Proposed: The fairest tax is a Net Worth Tax, where once a year every person and every corporation adds up the value of everything owned, and pays a very small percentage of that total in taxes. Extremely fair. The biggest problem with an Income Tax is that the wealthiest of all people do not need any income to live very comfortably. An Income Tax is good, being a tax on greed, but we must remember that no income at all is still survivable and comfortable for the richest persons of all. So, an Income Tax alone will not accomplish any reasonable re-distribution of wealth.
Proposed New Tax Codes are as follows: San Diego voters rejected a sales tax hike, and the media propagandists of the rich said that was because they do not want new taxes. Wrong. They do not want taxes on poor people, such as sales taxes. Income taxes are fine, but the wealthy do not need any income at all to spend millions on whatever they want. A NET WORTH TAX makes more sense. Every year, add up everything you have, and submit 0.01% to the government. Very simple. The reality, however, is that the rich need to pay almost all of the taxes, the poor paying none. That would solve a lot of problems.
I also propose that governments be prohibited from collecting any money at all, unless it falls under certain guidelines, and that all other money received by a unit of government be considered a major felony, with the government officials all subjected to prison time. Taxes permitted would be these alone:
Net Worth Taxes, previously described.
Inheritance Taxes provide that anyone may give away $5 million when they die, tax-free, plus may give away $50 million to any nonprofit organization that receives no government money. This is to prevent money from flowing to "fake" nonprofits that are shams for government propaganda. The government gets all the rest of the money.
Import Taxes give US workers an edge, a minimum of 1%, maximum 10% on everything.
Real Estate Taxes on all real estate, exempting $200,000 per person, which is $400,000 per couple, for their primary residence (home), tax-free. Same-sex couples, okay too.
Income Taxes on any income over $200,000 per year. No tax on less than that.
Sin Taxes on alcohol, cigarettes, marijuana, whatever society deems that may cause harm to users that costs society. This includes energy drinks, caffeinated soft drinks, salty or sweet snacks, and certain over-the-counter drugs such as ephedrine.
Foreign Cash Withdrawls taxed at 10% for all cash money which leaves the US. Some foreign corporations do not pay any taxes, and could still avoid same, but would have to keep their money in US banks, or use it to buy US goods or services, or pay US workers. Goods purchased are tax-exempt, so they could purchase gold to avoid the tax.
Conservation Taxes on things like gasoline and water, to avoid wasting resources.
Wealth Taxes on yachts, boat moorings, private aircraft and airports, golf courses, scuba gear, expensive cars and trucks (but not ordinary ones), expensive homes, fine art and sculpture, theatre and opera tickets, domestic servants, limousines, interior decorators, horse breeders, private swimming pools, racetracks, and all items purchased in a shopping mall.
Prohibited from being taxed are as follows: All sales taxes, except as stated above for wealth tax, energy tax, etc. All fees paid to government for any purpose, such as use of a park, camping fee, admission fee, permits, etc. Fees paid to any nonprofit org that receives any government money are also prohibited ("fake nonprofits"). All payroll deductions are prohibited except income tax on large incomes. No fine money for violating a law goes to government, either, but rather to a nonprofit org that helps rehabilitate offenders. Note that no unit of government may sell or rent any item or property, as that would not be listed in the permitted tax list. Property can be given away but the nonprofit receiving it becomes inelegible for either fine money or inheritance money.
To replace welfare, unemployment, disability income, and social security, each person gets $300 per week for being a citizen, $600 a week if they work full-time. That makes Minimum Wage $15 per hour x 40 hours equals $600. In sum total, each person working would get their $300 citizen income plus $300 minimum wage ($7.50 per hour times 40 hours) to equal $600 if working.
COLA Cost of Living Adjustments monthly, and fair ones, non-government board. If you commit a crime, you lose some or all of your citizen money.
Things I was asked to clarify:
No Corporate Taxes in your tax plan? I like that! Corporations pay other taxes, such as on real estate, same as individuals, but there is NO TAX ON PROFITS. Instead, they must invest at least 50% of profits in human capital, $30 an hour jobs. Does that lose them any money? No, because it is presumed that any employee earning that wage can produce benefit. Cooking the books to avoid the tax quadruples what they owe, as a fine.
Fines are paid to non-government nonprofit organizations, and this sort of fine would be to a school or job prep network that prepares people for these $30 an hour corporate jobs. Non-government nonprofits may also accept other fine money, as well as private donations and inheritances. They may not accept any money or property from the government! There is also another type of nonprofit organization, a government nonprofit, which may accept government money, but no fines, donations, nor inheritances.
What is the Inheritance Tax Rate? Given to me on the Trolley, this valid question enables me to explain the Inheritance Tax. When you die, you may give anyone or any org $5 million, plus an additional $50 million to the non-government nonprofit organizations. All other money goes to the government.
You may wish to establish your own Nonprofit Org and donate to it when you die. Your survivors may then get million-dollar salaries as employees. So, there are still angles for the extremely wealthy.
The Second Bill of Rights
The "Second" (Economic) Bill of Rights was proposed by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) after the First Depression (Hoover, 1930s) was mostly over. During his State of the Union Address on January 11, 1944, Roosevelt suggested that the nation should now implement a Second Bill of Rights, with economic rights instead of political ones.
The Great Depression made such a law obviously needed, and these rights would also guarantee that another Great Depression could never happen. Social Security is one of these rights which was adopted by Congress at that time, along with Supplemental Security Income (SSI). Without these, the current Second Depression (Bush) would be worse in impact than the first.
In addition to Social Security and SSI, the Second Bill of Rights guaranteed everyone a job at a reasonable wage, freedom from unfair competition and monopolies, housing, medical care, and education. Some of these things were passed at that time, such as a Minimum Wage, Medicare, guaranteed schooling thru high school, and securities trading laws.
The FDR speech went like this: "It is our duty now to begin...the establishment of an American standard of living higher than ever before known. We cannot be content...if some fraction of our people, whether it be one-third or one-fifth or one-tenth is ill.fed, ill-clothed, ill-housed, and insecure.
This Republic had its beginning, and grew to its present strength, under the protection of certain inalienable political rights...our rights to life and liberty. As our nation has grown...these political rights proved inadequate...in the persuit of happiness.
...freedom cannot exist without economic security and independence. People who are hungry and out of a job are the stuff of which dictatorships are made. These economic truths have become...self-evident. We have accepted...a Second Bill of Rights under which...security and prosperity can be established for all--" President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 1944.
He continued, "America's own rightful place in the world depends in large part upon how fully those and similar rights have been carried into practice for all citizens. For unless there is security here at home, there cannot be lasting peace in the world." Source: Wikipedia, "Second Bill of Rights". Sometimes also called the "Economic Bill of Rights". http://en.Wikipedia.Org/wiki/Second_Bill_of_Rights. Nov. 7, 2011 - Alternative explanation of the Occupy Movement, from Yahoo Answers CA:
-----Occupy Wall Street (OWS) is nothing more than an ongoing series of demonstrations in New York City- The protests were initiated by the Canadian activist group Adbusters, mainly protesting social and economic inequality, corporate greed, corruption and influence over governmentparticularly from the financial services sectorand lobbyists. The protesters' slogan, "We are the 99%", refers to the difference in wealth in the U.S. between the wealthiest 1% and the rest of the population.
-----The group has been criticized for its lack of specific demands. The General Assembly of the OWS has already adopted a Declaration of the Occupation of New York City, which includes a list of grievances against corporations, and many protesters believe that the general statement is enough. However, in early October other protesters, strongly in favor of a need for demands, had formed a Demands Working Group to identify and present a formal statement of specific actions they would ask local and federal governments to adopt. The Demands group published its list of demands in the New York Times in mid-October. The plan would involve creating 25 million new public-sector jobs paying union-level wages, providing free public transportation and free university education for all, staffing a single-payer health care system, and pursuing clean-energy research. Their plan would be funded by cutting the military budget in half and big tax hikes on the wealthiest.
-----The Demands Working Group has put together a competing document, the Liberty Square Blueprint, a wiki page edited by some 250 occupiers and still undergoing changes.
-----Commentators have said that although the movement is not in complete agreement on its message and goals, it does have a message which is fairly coherent. According to Bloomberg Businessweek, protesters want more and better jobs, more equal distribution of income, bank reform, and a reduction of the influence that corporations wield in politics. Adbusters co-founder Kalle Lasn has compared the protests to the Situationists and the Protests of 1968 movements, although this time "the stakes are much higher".
