Occupy San Diego, Thanksgiving, Nov. 24, 2011 - John Kitchin, San Diego Homeless News, NZ9F.com/SDHN.
.
Occupy San Diego currently has both a lawsuit going against the San Diego Police, plus an Internal Affairs investigation that has not gone well for officers involved. Video evidence provided by protesters showed unprovoked brutality and possibly even criminal behavior by police officers, who are in the process of being punished. This is an ongoing investigation which I will not compromise.
.
Occupy protesters currently number around 50, which is the smallest number in about two months. They are not being permitted any sleeping bags, tents, tables, or food, but were invited to Thanksgiving dinner at Horton Plaza, the downtown shopping mall.
World Toilet Day, Nov. 19, 2011, Protest by lawyers from the Girls Think Tank, part of the Coalition For Basic Dignity. San Diego has nearly no toilets downtown, even though the City promised to fund some.
.
.
.

The protest was peaceful, with one local news television crew. Videos of the event are available, including a statement by one San Diego homeless person, Bruce.
John Kitchin, Editor, San Diego Homeless News, Associated Press, reporting from San Diego.
.
Nov. 17, 2011- Occupy San Diego, perhaps the first time in 50 years that somebody at City Hall made any sense, continues to construct a new United States Constitution via its Occupy Wall Street groups and the Constitutional Convention that they have organized. Thomas Jefferson, when he wrote our current Constitution, never envisioned the internet, nor the things that technology would do to employment. Occupy calls for a switch to all hand-counted paper ballots in elections, the International Standard due to voting machine fraud worldwide, and the adoption of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's "New Deal", those provisions that did not pass Congress back in 1944 finally becoming law today.
.
Often called the "Second Bill of Rights" or the "Economic Bill of Rights", these rights are economic, as opposed to political.
.
Occupy San Diego saw violent clashes the past few days, and complains of police stealing food, medical supplies, and other items. They call for the indictment of the police chief. The latest restrictions on them are that they may protest 24 hours, but may not sleep on the City Hall Concourse. This could be in violation of the Federal Court Order allowing homeless to sleep on any city property, as the Occupy members are technically homeless.
.
A six year legal battle ended with San Diego being determined completely at fault for its homeless problems, and granted homeless the right to camp out on all city-owned property. ACLU lawyer Scott Dreher prosecuted that case in San Francisco. Occupy San Diego members are voluntarily homeless if they are camping at City Hall, and it is very rare for anyone to become homeless voluntarily.
.
Courageous individuals, making a sacrifice to help better their nation? Whether or not you agree with their message or tactics, would you feel strongly enough about any issue to personally go through the trouble of becoming homeless to be heard? Protests today tied up rush hour traffic, as they were conducted on busy freeway overpasses and bridges.
Nov. 11, 2011 - Veterans' Day.
Headlines are that the Air Force got caught dumping war dead remains in the garbage dump. Our country cares so much about its vets that it keeps the sidewalks that they sleep on extra-clean.
Nov. 10 update on Occupy San Diego:
-----The 99% held a march today around 12th and Imperial trolley station, with 25 union activists from the Security Guards Union, which also represents some police and fire workers. One cameraman from NBC was also present. The complaint is that they do not make enough money to live on, which is largely true, based upon Federal Government statistics.
-----They average $11 an hour, enough to pay for rent alone but nothing else in San Diego. Unless your spouse also works, you cannot live on that. $30 an hour is the Federal Official Poverty Level (OPL) for this area, with $20 an hour regarded as the survival minimum. Unless, of course, you live in Tijuana.
-----At City Hall, 136 protesters remained outside on the Third Avenue side, with 3 police officers present, plus 16 protesters inside the Concourse itself. There were 7 police guarding the entrances to the Concourse. Occupy is complaining that a lot of its bedding, books, other literature, medical supplies and cooking equipment were stolen by police. Some, they say, was returned.
-----This could be in violation of a Federal Court Order against San Diego Police, sought regarding its treatment of the personal property of the San Diego homeless. If the Occupy protesters are camped out, then they are homeless. So, does the settlement apply? Attorney Scott Dreher and the ACLU represented the homeless in the case, which resulted in the City paying $150,000 in damages to settle out-of-court.
-----More complete information can be had in the archives of the San Diego Homeless News, NZ9F.com/SDHN, or on a special web-page that was formed to help that settlement,NZ9F.com/home/Water_Man_Forms.
Nov. 8 update on Occupy San Diego:
-----Occupy San Diego, still camped out at San Diego City Hall, had about 75 protesters, which is the same number that they started with over a month ago. That despite 50 arrests, and a week of record extreme cold and intense rain. It now becomes obvious why the police wanted to be sure they had no tents. Counting the 50 jailed, that makes their number possibly 125, and some are on the Concourse, although most are on the Third Avenue side of City Hall.
-----Police complained about dogs, tables, and the protest group remedied those things into compliance. There were about 20 police present. The group has activities planned, mostly teaching by several college professors. I wrote an article about the protest in the San Diego Union-Tribune, published several days ago.
..John Kitchin, independent, Nov. 8, 2011, from San Diego. Public domain.
Nov. 4 update on Occupy San Diego:
Spirited noon rallies, put on by Labor, at the San Diego City Hall Concourse. Parades or marches follow, with shouts of fairness for working people. Few news media present, with nothing abusive nor violent. Around 100 in the parade, plus another 75 who stayed behind. A bit below the average of 200, peak 400, but there are (or were) 50 in jail, too, and it is unknown how many are out, plus how many went back to the protest. Police presence, 20, 12 joining the parade and 8 staying behind. Weather was sunny and very warm (hot), but today should be cold and rainy. Yes, it does rain in San Diego, although the Chamber of Commerce denies that. John Kitchin, Independent, Nov. 4, 2011.

News on Occupy San Diego -
John Kitchin, Independent Journalist, San Diego, Nov. 1, 2011.
.
Police put up barriers restricting access to the City Hall Concourse, but many protesters were on the inside of those barriers. Around 50 or 60 remained outside the area, nearby and within sight, along the Third Avenue side of City Hall. No sign of power supplies, computers, but lots of signs, and a teach-in being conducted by the San Diego Nurses Union. I gave them some standup comedy from Bubba Lipton, the guy who is throwing the tea party, one of my comedy characters.
.
I protested with the grandparents of these kids, so I very much understand what is going on. They probably have some sort of a parade going on, if only 50 or 60 are holding the fort. The whole Occupy scene looked like Hitler's Gestapo surrounding a group of "wayward youths". I doubt the TV news shows it, but it is not really news, nor is this article. It is quiet.
.
The San Diego City Hall Concourse has been used for political rallies, meetings, and political shows of support (or lack of it) for decades that I know of, so its continued use for the purpose that it was built for does not surprise me. Is this any different? How?
.
The reason for my particular interest is that Occupy San Diego is the first group in 45 years that might actually give the homeless some hope, instead of rhetoric, propaganda, and inaction from the City. Hundreds of extremely-flawed and bad plans currently exist to deal with the homeless problem, but nothing has really been done except for Redevelopment making the problem worse.
.
Redevelopment tears down so-called "blighted" housing, the only homes that many people can afford, and forces all of them onto the sidewalk. Then it replaces that housing with what it calls "Affordable Housing", that none of them can afford. It's sad.
.
Occupy promises a New Deal, actually The New Deal of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Can they deliver? Doubtful. But, they may make a dent into the problem, the way Martin Luther King did.

Editorial on Occupy Wall St. San Diego
.
John Kitchin, Assocated Press, San Diego, October 30, 2011.
.
Despite being well-organized in terms of feeding followers, other logistics, events, public relations, and the internet, Occupy San Diego misses the mark in several areas. First of all, its use of the open mike policy, the purest form of Free Speech, allowing anybody to say anything, while admirable, also muddles the message with millions of irrelevant blind alleys. Sort of like getting 800 million hits on a Google inquiry, and having to spend the rest of your life finding which answer is the one you wanted.
.
This results in no one understanding what the group stands for, because a handful of lunatics who have infiltrated it want to talk on and on about how the Space Zombies are eating our children. I do not share the patience of the Occupy group in listening to people rant on and on about the benefits of Communism, and how Fidel Castro is the Jewish Messiah. There is a venue for these people, right inside the gate of the Happy Farm Mental Hospital.
.
That aside, if you get paid to try to figure something out, eventually you connect with people who really know what is going on, and, in this case, that takes time. I know now that what the local, national, and world groups stand for. They stand for President Roosevelt's Economic Bill of Rights, arising out of the Great Depression. Called the "Second Bill of Rights", some of these provisions were passed, and others not, back in 1944.
.
What passed is Social Security, Disability Benefits, Medicare, a Minimum Wage, Overtime Pay, Child Labor Laws, Veterans Benefits, and many other laws that we take for granted today. What was not passed, and this group is fighting for, is universal health care, provisions for Housing Assistance during periods of economic downturn (help paying rent or mortages), laws keeping corporations out of politics, and similar. None of them very earth-shaking.
.
Sure, when one of the nut-cases is holding the microphone, you will get speeches about how we need to barbecue all the rich people to make pet food, but there are actually something like a hundred intelligent people making a statement for every one nut-case. What Occupy is asking is that the Second Bill of Rights, proposed by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt as a result of the Hoover Depression (1930s) be implimented. Far from being radical, this was actually considered by Congress in 1944, and most of these provisions are law today.
.
The Tea Party is in direct opposition, because the Economic Bill of Rights guarantees everyone a job at a reasonable Minimum Wage, even if the government has to foot the bill to do that. And, it would be the 1% wealthiest who pay the taxes to do it. My take is that we need to implement something, anything, that has a chance of working out, or we will end up with chaos and nationwide riots. What worries me is that I am very rarely ever wrong.
.
Getting back to the criticism of the movement, the use of Consensus is a tool that can only result in the inability to proceed. Consensus is a Parliamentary Procedure used in the United Nations Security Council, that allows everyone to continue speaking until they no longer wish to speak. Everyone has the power of filibuster, and also the power of veto. It was adopted by the Hippie culture activists back in the 1970s before it split into several groups, still alive today.
.
So much for the flaws which prohibit Occupy Wall Street from having a chance of success. A pity, because it is the first thing in years that has had a chance of establishing some semblance of fairness for poor and average-income people. That would save the country.
.
As for the San Diego Police and City Council, what part of Free Assembly is not being understood here? Protesting people have a right to whatever they need in their posession in order to do so, be that food, water, microphones, blankets, tables, or tents. It looks to me that the Occupy protesters got their Civil Rights violated by the City.
.
I see their marches as similar to the Racial Equality marches of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who was non-violently seeking Civil Rights for Black people. This battle is for Economic Rights, and it is being fought against the super-wealthy. So far, most Blacks are watching the Occupy movement, rather than getting involved. Wrong move. I helped with Civil Rights, even though I am White. And, I helped with Women's Rights despite being a man. I helped with Gay Rights, and I am not gay. We need to all support each other's rights, or we all fail as divided. Adolph Hitler used the tactic of trying to separate each group from the others, not having everyone fight for all causes in unison.
.
Should I stop fighting for the Civil Rights of Blacks, because they do not fight for the Civil Rights of the nation's homeless, which is my cause? ("Keep people divided, and they go nowhere." -Adolph Hitler.) United we stand, and divided we fall. The protesters stand for a cleaner environment, more solar and less nuclear power, fair wages and benefits, cleaning up Congress, curbing lobbying and Special Interests, and keepingcorporations out of politics. Along with, of course, fairer taxes, better economic prospects, and more hope.
.
Far from being either radical or fanatical, the Occupy Movement may yet be the spark that saves the United States and its "Budget Cuts" from destruction.

Oct. 30, 2011 - Occupy Wall Street, San Diego. John Kitchin, Independent Journalist, Public Domain.
.
-----As predicted, the protesters refused to remove tents, the police removed them and the protesters, arresting those who resisted, and about 50 were sent to jail. Several were injured, and are in the process of suing San Diego over the use of excessive force. Juries in San Diego County almost always permit the use of excessive force in damage suits, this being a military base town, so there is essentially no new news to report. Hence, no updates in 3 days. It is not news that the sun came up this morning.
.
-----No police officers from the Second Police Union (there is more than one) remained after being order to leave by police, and so none were arrested. The Second Union represents primarily the Southern California Railroad Police, San Diego Trolley and Transit Security, and police and fire in other cities.
.
-----The number of protesters now in the City Hall Concourse is about the same as usual, between 150 and 400, depending upon who is elsewhere and engaged in other activities.

Police Union Joins Demonstrators
John Kitchin, Associated Press, San Diego.
.
Today the San Diego Trolley and Railroad Police Union, which represents police, firefighters, and other similar professions, joined the Occupy San Diego protests at City Hall. About 30 police officers and firefighters carried picket signs, gave speeches, and delivered a message to the crowd that they want a pay increase and are calling a strike for tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 28.
.
Among the protesters, there were many discussions all day long as to whether to take down their tents, as San Diego Police have demanded. Their tents were taken down last week, per police demand, but put back up on Wednesday. Police have threatened to dismantle the camp if the tents remain up. No consensus was arrived in agreement or disagreement. That is typical of the decision-making process of this group.
.
City police listened to the speeches made by the other police union, and the police officers now present as protesters. This also involved one police union picketing the other police union. What is so unusual is that today police joined in and protested along with the protesters themselves!
.
This may get really complicated if police are called in to remove other police! I have covered protests all my life and this is the first time I have ever seen police join a group of protesters in their protest. All of the officers were off-duty who joined the demonstration.

Occupy San Diego Demonstrates at City Hall Meeting
.
-----Occupy San Diego protesters, camped outside San Diego City Hall for over a week, met with the San Diego City Council today at one of its regular meetings. About 200 demanded that the City endorse the occupation by a resolution, shouting chants for several minutes, and reminding the City that Los Angeles endorsed its occupation there. Occupy San Diego wants to use its tents and tables again, those items banned from the San Diego site.
.
-----The disruption caused an abrupt end to the meeting, and so many people did not get to speak on behalf of other, unrelated causes. The protesters quickly left when a large number of police arrived. They thought the police were there to dismantle their campground, but the truth is that they were there to protect the City Council if necessary. Emotions were high, but not violent. The occupation continues.
.
-----Literature from President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was circulated, proposing many of the same things as the demonstrators, in January of 1944. Roosevelt called it the Second Bill of Rights, or the Economic Bill of Rights. Wikipedia does have further information from the writings and speeches of FDR concerning his Second Bill of Rights.

From Occupy Australia, Media Release via the Associated Press, Oct. 21, 2011, 2 PM, Pacific Daylight Time.
Occupy Melbourne media release- 21/10/11: Police violence warrants full inquiry (Author is anonymous, which is understandable in this world where people who speak the truth are targeted to lose housing & employment.)
.
-----Occupy Melbourne have called for a full inquiry into unlawful police behaviour amid scenes of police violence on the streets of Melbourne today. The call comes after riot police disrupted a peaceful demonstration in Melbournes CBD.
-----We call on Premier Ted Ballieu and Lord Mayor Robert Doyle to back a full and independent investigation into the use of unlawful and excessive force by Victoria Police and the Melbourne City Council, said Occupy Melbourne spokesperson Erin Buckley.
-----More than 20 statements have been taken from individuals who have experienced police violence including eye gouging, kicks to the groin, punches to the face, knees to the face and arbitrary pepper spraying, including of minors. One incident involved an elderly woman with a walking stick who was pushed to the ground by riot police, she said.
-----Occupy Melbournes legal support team also say they have evidence of dozens of Police on duty without name tags or badges, in breach of police regulations and previous assurances from Victoria Police that all officers would be identifiable as required by law.
-----It is unacceptable that the kind of violence we have witnessed today can occur in our city without any accountability. That means a full independent investigation is required, she said.
-----17 truck loads of personal property were also forcefully removed from Melbournes City Square. 13 of these truckloads were instantly crushed. Property included; generators, cooking equipment, backpacks, tents, bicycles, computers, cameras, marquees and other personal items.
-----Melbourne City Council should compensate people for the illegal destruction of their property.
-----Occupy Melbourne is part of a worldwide movement against the growing disparity between rich and poor, austerity measures and corporate greed. It is a movement for economic and social justice and real democracy.
-----The richest 20% of households in Australia have 60 times the wealth of the poorest 20% of Australians. CEOs are getting huge pay increases and banks are posting record profits. We want a fair share for all Australians.
-----The camp where Occupy Melbourne has been for the past week has been dispersed, but the movement against inequality will continue tomorrow.
-----Occupy Melbourne will convene tomorrow at 12 noon at Federation Square. Organisers are calling on supporters of equality and peace to join the occupation.

Occupy Movement Hits Colleges
-----Occupy College hit San Diego Thursday with Occupy Wall Street groups assembling at City College, downtown, San Diego State University, in East County, and the University of California, San Diego, in rich La Jolla. All say they are independent groups, with the college groups emphasizing the constant tuition increases, budget cutbacks, and lack of jobs once out of school as additional problems.
-----They, too, seek a higher minimum wage, increased entitlements, and want the rich to resume paying taxes. The local daily newspaper, the San Diego Union-Tribune, still ignores all protests, but there has been sparse television news coverage of the events.
-----The Tea Party has been attempting to hire people to counter-protest, and is offering very high wages, but so far none of their counter-protesters have been heard from. The military in San Diego attempted to organize a counter-protest, but members of what was to become that crossed sides and joined the Occupy group. In the end, none of the counter-protests materialized.
Oct. 20, 2011 John Kitchin, Associated Press, San Diego. Revised 8 PM, PDT.
Media Blackout Continues
-----The BBC refused to report on the occupation of Footsie, the FTSE (Financial Times Stock Exchange), which led to those protesters burning London. In similar fashion, the San Diego Union-Tribune has refused to carry news about the Occupy Wall St. sympathizers currently occupying San Diego City Hall, plus San Diego North County and suburban El Cajon and Rancho Santa Fe.
-----Starting with just under 75 protesters, the Downtown group now has over 200. Daily "freedom marches" are held demanding that wealthy people resume paying taxes now that George W. Bush is no longer President. They also say that the current Minimum Wage is too low. Each has individual concerns as well, such as saving the whales, recycling, solar energy, or improving our school system. The movement reminds most people of Dr. Martin Luther King, 46 years ago.
-----Dr. King had extensive media coverage, however, not the blackout. According to group spokespersons, there are no plans to cause disturbance or chaos in order to get noticed in the press and on TV. The Los Angeles Times has been covering Occupy Los Angeles there.
Oct. 19, 2011 - New group forms Occupy Rancho Santa Fe. The famous old money area of San Diego is La Jolla,of course, comparable to Beverly Hills in LA. The zillionaires, however, are currently living in such places as Fairbanks Ranch and Rancho Santa Fe, so this group makes sense.
Oct. 18, 2011, Second Posting, first one is below.-----Actual 4 PM count of the protesters at San Diego City Hall, 212, plus 8 police and 25 other people (media, military, curious, homeless, passing thru while doing business with the city, city employees, janitorial, etc.)
.
Oct. 18, 2011. -----John Kitchin, Associated Press, San Diego.
-----The Los Angeles Times reported that Occupy San Diego, the Occupy Wall Street faction that camped out at San Diego City Hall, had dwindled to only a few dozen people remaining. I got that same idea, visiting Monday afternoon, and seeing very few present. As it turns out, several hundred were conducting a parade and march through downtown San Diego at that time, and so were not present at their headquarters.
----------
Oct. 16, 2011 Round Two: John Kitchin, Associated Press, San Diego.
The local news media got several things wrong with coverage, such as captioning one person as a "Defector", whatever that is in this context, and showing video of the one slight incident where the police used pepper spray for no valid reason on two students. They also stated that the group occupying San Diego City Hall had moved to North County (Carlsbad, Oceanside), but that is not true. Occupy North County San Diego is an entirely different group. Numerous press and web outlets quote "leaders" of this group, or their "demands", but the group itself claims to have neither of those at all. In reality, there are a few spokespeople who must, by group policy, say that they do not truly represent everyone in the group.----------
(A criticism of the Occupy San Diego movement, with suggestions for improvement, will be presented as soon as I have time to do that.) ----------
Israeli Involvement in September 11 is a topic of one or two protesters at Occupy San Diego. There are also counter-protesters who say it is lunatic stupidity. Well, it is entirely obvious that Israeli Intelligence knew all about it, and the protesters will give you that proof, so did Israel tell the US about Sept. 11 in advance, or not? Either scenario looks bad. Either Israel is a co-conspirator, or US Intelligence was involved in intentionally sacrificing those people in order to interest Americans in the George W. Bush War on Terror, the war that erased all of our internet and telephone (and banking) communications freedoms.----------
Pearl Harbor was known about in advance, since we had cracked the Japanese radio codes. It was used as a sacrifice to get our people interested in fighting World War Two. We Americans do not wish to fight a war unless attacked, unprovoked. Was Sept. 11 the same thing? The reason certain people involved are held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, is to prevent them from talking to the Underground Press about Kismet (Israeli Intelligence) agents involved in Sept. 11.----------
I cannot say for sure if Israel had Arabic double-agents, secretly working for Israel, planning and executing Sept. 11. I can say, however, having gone to a Jewish university, that I did know of many cases where synagogues hired people to deface or burn their own temples, in order to then blame the Nazis in the news media. I also knew several paid killers who worked for temples.----------
San Diego City Beat, the alternative weekly newspaper had a marvelous front-page picture and article out this week, written by Peter Holslin, who spent a weekend with the group. Read it at http://www.sdcitybeat.com/sandiego/article-9635-a-weekend-with-occupy-san-diego.html. Kudos to editor David Rolland, one of the most truthful of those, locally. ----------
Oct. 16, 2011 - Occupy San Diego has company. A new group, not affiliated, has formed Occupy North County in San Diego. The original Occupy Wall St. San Diego group, told to leave City Hall, negotiated to remain without tents nor tables, and is still occupying. They held a party in San Diego's downtown Balboa Park on Saturday, October 15, with live music, and a similar party outside the San Diego Convention Center today.
The news media covered television accounts of the tiny bit of scuffling which occurred between police and the peaceful demonstrators. One man was arrested, but he came to watch andwas not withthe group. Conventional newscasters stated privately to me that the two persons pepper-sprayed by police did nothing wrong and were randomly chosen to be examples for the group. None of that will go out in the press.
A teach-in was held Sunday morning by several college professors involved in an analysis of how greed and corruption destroyed part of what made this country great. No one offered any proposed solutions. Two men from groups sent to infiltrate and destroy the Occupy Movement attempted to disrupt the college class, and were eventually ignored. One was from the Communist movement, the other from the movement to use drugs.
As has been previously stated, there are a large number of new web-sites purporting incorrect and misleading information about the Occupy movement. This continues. I jokingly told one of the San Diego city workers that due to budget cuts, city business had moved outside to tents, and the mayor was in the big green tent. He laughed, and I added that flush toilets are only for governments that aren't broke.
Oct. 13, 2011 - Morning Update on Occupy Wall Street - San Diego, Kyle Pearson is the man killed falling from a building at the Occupy San Diego event, city hall. He was charged with the hit-and-run death of a CalTrans worker in June. It is unclear whether or not he committed suicide. The Medical Examiner has certified that his wounds are not consistent with having jumped, but rather fallen.

As I see it, they stand for a fair Minimum Wage, and that the wealthy should pay at least some taxes. That is all. Currently the Minimum Wage in San Diego is $8 an hour, and should be $15 or $20 an hour. And, the wealthiest of all citizens pay little or no tax money, having lots of income tax deductions.
.
The occupiers are friendly, intelligent, educated, college-types, organized and a bit avante-garde. Exactly me, 40 years ago. Just an invitation to hear what the Occupiers have to say, as opposed to letting rich people who own broadcasting companies tell you lies about it.
.
Statement on the Homeless and Occupy Wall St.: It is obvious that the homeless must join the occupiers, because to be homeless is to be a victim of the rich, causing one to have no place to legally occupy themselves. Homeless are harassed everywhere. Only in the United States, and not even in Haiti, are the poor criminalized for failure to be able to pay rent. This is a product of the psychotic thinking of the Nazi Ruling Class which dominates the United States and its Jewish and Mormon (primarily) banking system.
.
News: Death of volunteer ruled an accident. The Medical Examiner looked at wounds and said they were not consistent with suicide. The man who died at the Occupy event was hanging flyers from a tall building, slipped, and fell to his death. Diabetes suspected.
Event Photos, the first one re-touched version of the second.

Tents are configured into working groups, such as the Black Caucus, the Gays and Lesbians, the Green Movement, Women's Rights, and many others. You camp with the group you feel strongest about, but are welcome at many conferences of the other groups, too.

Despite being ignored by the rich-owned news media, there is an area at left where media officials from the Underground Press are briefed on the news. Below, conference groups form circles to discuss specific topics. Not much different from a Political Caucus, except for the sidewalk.

Below, solar panels power the event computers and similar.

Slogans, rhetoric, and causes abound.

Would Mitt Romney Make a Good US President?
John Kitchin, Associated Press, October 12, 2011
-----We need to compare Romney to other equally-qualified candidates. Paris Hilton, for example, is equally rich and famous, less stubborn, and more intelligent. Also, she looks better in a bikini. A better candidate than Romney, except for being more intelligent, as the Republican Right dislikes anyone with any brains.
-----Romney needs to concentrate on his talents and his mission in life. Being fake, pompous, intimidating, and pounding poor people securely into the ground, making them destitute and homeless. He has a lot more mileage to go on him and his life before Satan calls him in for that Final Audit.
-----Mitt Romney uses the full meaning of the word "peons" (pee-ons), those who are peed on by the wealthy. As a rich, ruling-class pundit, he should instead worry about a fitting legacy, getting something named after himself. How about the Mitt Romney National Toxic Waste Dump? Has a ring to it.
-----Evokes memories of all the great ones. We can locate the Mitt Dump next door to Temple Beth Adolph. Heroes like him can stand on their own merits, and do not need our recognition as President in order to be absolutely certain that they, themselves, are God. Society is just those stupid people out there, anyway, and who cares about them?
-----Perhaps the best reason not to have Romney as President is that he might order a nuclear attack on Omaha, Nebraska, thinking that it is a rogue foreign power. No, Mister President, it is a US city. Yes, really. You didn't know? I knew there would be a problem with the vetting of presidential candidates using an IQ test. Weeds out the bright ones, which the Right won't elect, but stupidity has its consequences, too.
-----If we are not careful, we could get stuck with another George W. Bush. Where's Bill Clinton when his country needs him? Probably under his desk, interviewing an intern. Oh, well, they do serve the needs of helping to relieve presidential stress, right?
-----And, as far as Donald Trump for President, a trump beats an ace, but only if you're playing with a full deck. Better off with Hilton, getting ahead by giving some. She should have been a political intern. That is how people learn about our government, first-hand. Pornographic Political Press Corps? They do have that in Italy.
-----Would Mitt Romney make a good car wash supervisor, or parking lot attendant?

Would Donald Trump Make a Good US President?
John Kitchin, Associated Press, May 3, 2011
We need to compare Trump to other equally-qualified candidates. Paris Hilton, for example, is equally rich and famous, less stubborn, and more intelligent. Also, she looks better in a bikini. A better candidate than Trump, except for being more intelligent, as the Republican Right dislikes anyone with any brains.
Besides that, with Donald Trump there would always be the question of where he was born. Isn't he the guy born in an Armenian shoe factory, in-
between the Size 9 and Size 10 machines? The world would never accept the birth certificate of a President signed by a Master Shoemaker, acting as midwife.
Trump needs to concentrate on his talents and his mission in life. Being fake, pompous, intimidating, and pounding poor people securely into the ground, making them destitute and homeless with his war cry: "You're fired!" He has a lot more mileage to go on him and his life before Satan calls him in for that Final Audit.
Donald Trump uses the full meaning of the word "peons", those who are peed on by the wealthy. As a rich, ruling-class pundit, he should instead worry about a fitting legacy, getting something named after himself. How about the Donald Trump National Toxic Waste Dump? Has a ring to it.
Evokes memories of all the great ones. We can locate the Trump Dump next door to Temple Beth Adolph. Heroes like him can stand on their own merits, and do not need our recognition as President in order to be absolutely certain that they, themselves, are God. Society is just those stupid people out there, anyway, and who cares about them?
Perhaps the best reason not to have Trump as President is that he might order a nuclear attack on Omaha, Nebraska, thinking that it is a rogue foreign power. No, Mister President, it is a US city. Yes, really. You didn't know? I knew there would be a problem with the vetting of presidential candidates using an IQ test. Weeds out the bright ones, which the Right won't elect, but stupidity has its consequences, too.

A message from Selena Fox about healing Japan
On Friday, Japan was hit by the largest earthquake in its history, followed by a tsunami which has destroyed two thirds of its eastern coast. Japan also now is in the midst of a nuclear emergency due to damages to several nuclear power plants.
Please focus on sending healing to Japan, to its inhabitants, and to all those impacted by these disasters.
Shibaten, who is in his native Japan and is OK, and Selena, who is in her forest home in Wisconsin, have been in frequent contact by email since the disasters, and will be working together in facilitating this rite.
Shibaten will be playing healing music on a didgeridoo & Selena will be playing the healing sounds of a singing bowl from Japan.
They will be joined by others from Canada, Ireland, and other countries in this ritual.
If you have one, work with a quartz crystal and a symbol of and/or from Japan to help focus your healing prayers.
Participants also are invited (not required) to work with the Elements of Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit, and the Japanese Sun Goddess as Amaterasu Omikami in this rite.
More info about the ceremony, also with posts from some of those who will be taking part is on Selena's main Facebook page: www.facebook.com/pages/Selena-Fox/50006939284
Please share this email with others who may wish to join in.
Thank you!
