In a desperate attempt to be re-elected, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger recently changed his name to Meg Whitman, undergoing extensive plastic surgery. Even with very extreme Hollywood makeup, nobody is fooled. Arnold, we know it's you! Time to admit the deception!

Below, the Republican San Diego UT, formerly the Union-Tribune, tries unsuccessfully to give away papers.

In response to the San Diego Union-Tribune editorial "New cell phone taxes...", it's about time! We need a penny-per-minute federal tax to preserve spectrum and help pay the deficit. Keeping the cost minimal, and make sure the money goes to promote jobs and business, not line wealthy pockets.
I propose loans made to sole proprietorships with a net worth of under $150,000 and no employees except the owner. As a proprietor, the owner has 100% liability, which is good for business, and is the same tax entity as the business itself, also good for business.
Regarding the editorial, "Needed: College grads", unsigned, I present to you a bulletin from the Homeless Intellectual Program (HIP) of the San Diego political party VOGUE (Victims of Greed and Under-Employment):
We are currently looking for persons with advanced university degrees (Ph.D., M.D., M.A.) who are also currently homeless. The idea is to form a think tank to deal with that problem. Log on to www.nz9f.com/HIP, or send an e-mail to voguehip@hotmail.com. Text only please, no attachments opened.
The article on needing more college grads begs this question: What's wrong with those we've got? I recall the cartoon about the mother taking her boy to clarinet class, and passing by a beggar on the sidewalk who was playing a clarinet. Until we have a better economy, going to school is a crazy idea! And, if we keep cutting taxes, spending, and government services, our economy can only keep getting worse. Ten years of that has resulted in the current DEPRESSION.
Sunday, July 11, 2010:
In response to the San Diego Union-Tribune editorial, "Hearing near on homeless center", by Leonel Sanchez, the Union-Tribune revised its earlier estimate of 500 homeless down to 300 now, exactly the same number (5,000) as the Rhodes Study, and the (7,000) San Diego County Grand Jury on the Homeless. I'm glad we all agree that the County's 200,000? homeless are now down to 300, and the rest have been hidden somewhere.
The "Homeless Reservation" is sure to be scoffed at by people on the street, who already call it a Homeless Prison. The PATH plan to bilk the City out of millions of dollars in taxpayer money could be money better spent. $32 million could buy 64 half-milllion-dollar ($500,000) homes in Alpine or La Jolla, at 4 homeless per home, each with an attached garage and outdoor swimming pool.
I'm a liberal in that I feel governments need to help those citizens who need help, but the price tag on this project is crazy. The plan also takes money away from the Alpha Project and the Neal Day Center, the only two programs besides Father Joes's Villages that eave EVER proven successful in San Diego.
One of the additional problems is that the location is too far from the trolley stops to be used by the handicapped homeless, and that's the over 50% who are handicapped. We need this thing within one city block of a trolley stop and the buses on Broadway. Covering extra distances with crutches, a cane, or a walker is not practical, unfair, and a violation of ADA.
We need to eat, and we get to our meals by trolley. And, as for the phrase "drugs and homelessness", eat poop! Many people who become unemployed and thereby lose their homes to eviction will eventually succumb to drugs or alcohol, but you make it look like drug abuse or mental illness produced their homelessness, rather than being a result of same!
Most people who are homeless were neither drug abusers nor mentally ill until first losing their jobs and then becoming unable to pay rent. To suggest otherwise demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of the situation.

At the US Border, the Republican lies newspaper "Enlace", a Spanish version of the San Diego Union-Tribune, was being distributed for free, with almost no takers. The complaint was that what's in it isn't true. The man distributing it said that it wasn't Republican lies, but affiliated with PAN, the Democratic Party. Everybody laughed.
I made the loud announcement that Enlace was owned by the Union-Tribune. They shouted "PRI" (Republicans). The election for Mayor of Tijuana (Municipal President) will take place on the 4th of July, and will be rigged so that Carlos Bustamante of the United States Republican Party will win, with 8% of the actual vote, but the news media will say he got 96%. This is the legacy of former President and CIA Director George H. Bush, who it is said rigged foreign and domestic elections worldwide.
It is also said that the only place with more corrupt elections than Tijuana is San Diego, where more money is involved.

Today, we will be adding and correcting information from the Thursday, June 17, 2010, edition of The Republican San Diego Union-Tribune, a political tabloid that pretends to be a daily newspaper!
Page 1, "SD's Rich Devoted to Enrichment". Lori Weisberg's article fails to mention that for every one really nice and caring rich person, there are a hundred slime-balls. Nonetheless, somebody has to give the rich guys better PR, so nobody burns down their houses and stuff. Nice touch.
Page A3, "Agent Orange's toxic legacy." I think diluted Agent Orange is currently called Roundup, or something like that, but it is being sold at hardware stores as a defoliant. Not to be confused with a pet medicine. Biologically-engineered plants that are immune to it are also being developed, such as StarLink corn. Agent Orange is used a great deal in corporate farming.
Editorials, Page B7, Tax Cuts=Job Creation. Okay, then 12 years of tax cuts has created a lot of jobs, right? And we have a lot more jobs today, due to all of those tax cuts. More jobs than we've ever had before. The truth? Tax cuts reduce employment, because the recession they cause makes companies go out of business. Companies that are out of business no longer have employees. Tax cuts do result in more minimum-wage jobs, but fewer good jobs.
Tax cuts result in increased crime, poverty, despair, drug abuse, homelessness, media lies, and the most disastrous of all: Cutbacks in budgets, services, transit infrastructure, parks, hospitals, daycare, pools, and the layoff or wage reduction of government workers! If that's what you want, the Republicans in Mexico have been in control there and cutting taxes for 70 years. Mexico today is what results. Want lower taxes? Move to Mexico! Stop trying the bring the problems of low taxation to this country too.
Letters, "Israel's role in the Middle East". Well, there are several good points made in both letters. Why do the writers of the letters to the Union-Tribune usually give a better and truer version of the truth than the people who are paid to do that?
